About Swayam Krishi
MORE THAN A FARM. MORE THAN A DAY OUT.
Swayam Krishi is an evolving space dedicated to understanding agriculture, nature, traditional knowledge and the cultural life that grew around them. Not a museum. Not a performance. A living, breathing learning space.
What is Swayam Krishi?
FARMING WAS NEVER SEPARATE FROM LIFE.
For generations, agriculture was not separated from everyday life. The farmer understood the soil. The family understood the seasons. The village understood water. Seeds were preserved for the next generation. Food followed the rhythm of the harvest, and festivals followed the agricultural calendar.
Much of this knowledge is slowly disappearing — not because it stopped mattering, but because fewer of us get to live inside it.
Swayam Krishi exists to bring it back into experience.

Behind Swayam Krishi.

Sri K. Suchendra Prasad
Principal Advisor & Vision Guide
A renowned theatre personality, film actor and director with a deep commitment to India's cultural heritage, his years on stage and screen have been shaped by a constant return to the stories, rituals and rhythms of rural life — the same soil that gave Indian art its earliest voice. At Swayam Krishi, he brings this lifelong relationship with performance and tradition into service of a larger idea: that culture and agriculture were never separate practices, but two expressions of the same inherited wisdom. As Principal Advisor and Vision Guide, he helps shape the spirit in which the farm, the archive and the classroom speak to one another, so that art, folk memory and rural custom are treated not as nostalgia but as living knowledge worth carrying forward.

Sri Ravi K. S.
Founder & Managing Trustee, Udayaravi Charitable Trust
A social-development leader whose work spans education, sports, agriculture, culture, healthcare, and the empowerment of women and youth, he has spent years building institutions that respond directly to the needs of rural communities rather than working around them. As Founder and Managing Trustee of Udayaravi Charitable Trust, he approaches Swayam Krishi as a continuation of that same commitment — a place where children, students and city families can meet farming as an experience rather than a lesson. Through the initiative, he seeks to reconnect future generations with the land, with rural heritage, with nature, and with the sense of community that once came naturally to a way of life lived close to the soil.

Why Swayam Krishi
BECAUSE FARMING IS EVERYONE'S STORY.
You don't have to be a farmer to understand farming. You only need to ask — where did today's food come from, who grew it, what soil grew it, what knowledge made the harvest possible? Swayam Krishi exists to keep that conversation alive.
